FACT OF THE WEEK | For every ton of paper used for recycling the savings are: at least 30,000 liters of water; 3000 – 4000 KWh electricity (enough for an average 3 bedroom house for one year); 95% of air pollution (wasteonline.org).

PARTNERS

Developing a green business program requires partnership commitment, networking, expertise, resource sharing and education, collaboration, and leadership. We are always looking for partners that will not only assist us in addressing challenges to maximizing opportunities for growth of the green business program, but who will also to help further sustainable education in the broader community.

We especially thank all the partners who have helped us become established thus far and launch our pilot program in the Summer of 2009. Together, we hope to build a sustainable network in the Champaign-Urbana community. We look forward to continuing to work with local partners, as well as developing better relationships with other community groups and anyone interested in furthering community sustainability.
