The Illinois Green Business Association is always looking for individuals, organizations, companies, governments and groups to assist with sustainability efforts in local communities throughout Illinois.

IGBA is working to build foster collaborations between traditional and non-traditional organization or sector boundaries in communities throughout Illinois. CONTACT us if you or your organization would be interested in:

  • Educational programming collaboration
  • Hosting the IGBA certification program in your Illinois community
  • Performing energy audits for small businesses
  • Volunteering to develop and/or teach environmental education
  • Providing information on a service your company or organization could provide to businesses looking to go green
  • Collaborating to offer businesses and communities sustainability services and programs in Illinois

Ideas for community for projects could include:

  • A Waste and Resource Exchange Program for green businesses
  • Battery recycling, inkjet cartridge, or CFL collection program
  • Cross-promotional, event-based activities or partnerships
  • Community recognition (painted benches, streetlight banners, landscaping, etc.)
  • Promotional items for businesses (eco-friendly clothing, reusable bags, cork coffee-cup sleeves, etc.)
  • Eco-action among businesses (course packet drive, recycled notebooks, locally grown food and flowers, composting, grease collection program, etc.)
  • Any other project that would promote sustainable actions among businesses and help educate the community.
