Get Involved
We are always looking for individuals and groups to help collaborate on projects in the Champaign-Urbana student and local community. Contact us if you or your organization would be interested in:
- Learning to conduct energy audits
- Creating advertising or marketing materials
- Volunteering to develop and/or teach environmental education for after-school children’s groups
- Writing city or grant proposals
- Event planning
- Participating in further developing our programs and services.
Other directions for projects could include:
- A Waste and Resource Exchange Program for green businesses
- Battery recycling, inkjet cartridge, or CFL collection program
- Cross-promotional, event-based activities or partnerships
- Community recognition (painted benches, streetlight banners, landscaping, etc.)
- Promotional items for businesses (eco-friendly clothing, reusable bags, cork coffee-cup sleeves, etc.)
- Eco-action among businesses (course packet drive, recycled notebooks, locally grown food and flowers, composting, grease collection program, etc.)
- Any other project that would promote sustainable actions among businesses and help educate the community.
